The EverGEN™ solar engine is a self-contained power supply that provides 12-volt DC power wherever you need it - generated from the free, limitless resource of the sun. Unlike other solar-power systems, the EverGEN solar engine is completely self-contained, with all components (including solar modules, rechargeable batteries, sensors and electronics) integrated within a sleek, compact and durable pole-mounted design.
Suitable for powering a range of third-party devices such as cameras, sensors, communications equipment, and more, the solar engine can also be paired with Carmanah's industry-proven LED luminaire for a versatile, stand-alone lighting solution.
With no trenching, cabling or permits required, an EverGEN solar engine can be installed in minutes, with minimal technical expertise, at a fraction of the cost of a hard-wired connection. An adjustable mounting assembly allows you to tilt and rotate the system during installation for optimal orientation to the sun at any latitude. Free from the restrictions of a grid connection, the stand-alone solar engine is designed to provide many years of uninterrupted, maintenance-free power - without the monthly utility bill!

A typical solar power system contains two main components: the solar array and the base kit. The array is typically fastened to a roof, where it gathers energy from the sun and transfers it to the base kit. The base kit then uses a grid-tie inverter to convert the direct current (DC) electricity from the solar array to alternating current (AC) electricity, which is then fed to your grid connection to supplement your grid-based power supply.
